Young Riza Hawkeye, 1st Marine Division

I'm still alive and celebrating the Holidays! I must say that I was quite busy recently as well, and that putting the right camo colors for the P42 uniform was quite a hard task. Nevertheless, a book on the Marines' equipment at the time really helped me with the color tones. I'm glad I was able to finish this one before I return to my Valkyria Chronicles/WW2 crossover project.

Just to remind you all: I based this pose on an existing Riza figurine while I kept into consideration her shorter hair in her younger days. She carries a M1903A1 Springfield sniper rifle with a 7.8x Unertl scope as her primary weapon. It is worth reminding that the Springfield M1903 had several features that were copied off the Mauser rifle (which was Riza's primary weapon in FMA). The shirt is a reversible P42 while the trousers are normal HBT green; it was more or less how USMC snipers and sharpshooters were dressed in Peleliu (September 1944).
